Like any other character, WoW rogue leveling depends significantly on your play style.
However, the rogue character makes a powerful solo character, equally as well as a group member, with their powerful damage, ability to stun, and the ever useful ability to stealth in and out of danger.

The rogue is available to many races, each offering its unique racial abilities to the rogue mix.
Which one you choose will affect your style and speed of leveling.

Humans offer both perception and sword specialization, the first allows rogues to see others coming and the second allows them to hit better.
Night elves offer shadowmeld and quickness, the first which can get a rogue out of a pinch and the second which improves the rogue’s dodge rating.
Dwarves aren’t particularly suited to rogues, though the benefits of stoneform can assist when a rogue needs to stay vanished.
Many rogues do not need the gun specialization.
Gnomes are ideal rogues, with their small size making them harder to spot, and the escape artist can prove handy in PVP. The +15 to engineering can also be helpful if you choose that as a profession.
Orcs offer hardiness that helps them stand up in battle, and the blood fury can dramatically improve attack power.
The Undead are the best rogues for the Horde, and the Will of the Forsaken can break them free during combat. Cannibalize can also limit the amount of food that you have to carry with you.
Trolls can make use of berserking during combat, allowing them to increase attack speed depending on their level of health. The bonus damage against beasts may prove useful if a Rogue decides to take up skinning as a profession.
WoW Rogue Leveling – Levels 1 – 40
When it comes to WoW rogue leveling, the process is rather simple. Rogues are a popular class to level quickly, since they are efficient killing machines.
The first ten quests will be in the beginner areas, which will allow you to gain experience with your rogue.
At levels 11-20, the horde players have the option to hit Rage Fire Chasm if they have the assistance of a good group.
The Alliance rogues are stuck questing and grinding in either Loch Modan or Westfall.
After level 20, WoW rogue leveling can be the same for both Alliance and Horde.
Ashenvale and Stonetalon offer plenty of quests for both levels, and around level 23 both factions can visit Blackfathom Deeps for an instance run.
If you choose, the 31-40 levels can be spent grinding Scarlet Monastery. The four different instances and variety of loot could allow you to stay here the whole time.
If you don’t like groups, then Stranglethorn Vale, Desolace, and Shimmering Flats offer plenty of quests and grinding for you to level.
WoW Rogue Leveling – Levels 40 – 60
The levels 41-50 can be a pain to do. Both Horde and Alliance rogues can gain some leveling by running Razorfen Downs, despite the lack of quests.
This should put you into the mid 40s, where you can head towards Zul’farrak.
To speed things along, visit the Hinterlands and Tanaris for quests at Zul’farrak to make the most of your time there.
If you are looking for quests, Badlands, Dustwallow Marsh, and Swamp of Sorrows are the places to go.
After you hit 47 you start running the Maraudon instance, which will give you upgrades that you will be able to use for some time.
Levels 51-60
The home stretch of the original content (though avid players will want to continue on to level 80 in the two expansion sets).
You can run Maraudon through level 52, at which point you can head to Sunken Temple.
Sunken Temple offers few drops for rogues leveling, but for skinners you can gain a lot of materials to sell or use for leatherworking.
However, as soon as you can get into groups for Blackrock Depths, it is well worth it for a wow rogue leveling through content to run there. Many good rogue drops come from the bosses there, including some nice daggers.

At 58 you can start running the endgame instances from the original content, including Strathholm, Scholomance, and Blackrock Spire.
These should easily take you to level 60, at which point you can continue on to Outlands if you choose.
