If you have hit level 80, or even if you are at level 70 and haven’t purchased the Northrend expansion, daily quests are one of the best ways to earn gold. So, one of the easiest ways to make gold on WoW is for you to do your daily quests. You are allowed to do 25 each day, and most of the level 80 dailies will pay at least 10 gold.
Plus you will have the advantage of being able to sell anything that you earn while you are out questing, such as green armor, materials, and other items. Even the gray “vendor trash” items can sell back for a couple of gold each depending on what they are.
Plus many of the dailies help you to earn reputation with the different factions if you are hoping to buy specific gear from them.
Mining
If you are looking for a quick way to farm or make gold on WoW, another of our tips is to take up mining. The ore is needed by blacksmiths and jewel crafters alike, and many of the professions can use the motes, primal, or eternals that pop up occasionally as well.
Some of the gems you might find also may sell well on the Auction House. Higher level green ores, such as Titanium, are considered rare spawns and if you can find them will sell quite well.
Some miners also make money selling their cooldown for smelting Titansteel, which is needed in higher level blacksmithing recipes. Of course, if you are smith or a jewel crafter yourself, you should have mining as your secondary profession so you don’t have to buy materials.
Other gathering
If you don’t want to take up mining, another way to make gold on WoW is to take up a different gathering profession to earn money. Both skinning and herbalism will allow you to gather materials that can sell well in the auction house.
If you are purely looking to make gold, the materials often sell for more than the crafted items, so taking up two gathering professions is profitable.
If you are making crafted items for your own use or to assist the guild, then you should take on a complimentary gathering profession to save yourself money. Skinning can be done on most beast mobs, and if you get the Gatherer add-on you can keep track of where herbs and mining nodes were found.
Disenchanting
One of the more surprising tips to make gold on WoW next. While enchanting is often not profitable until you have nearly maxed out the skill, disenchanting can be. Disenchanting will allow you to sell the enchanting materials found within lower level green armor, and often the materials are worth more than you would get auctioning off the piece. You can also disenchant soulbound items once you no longer need them, and sell the materials.
Crafting
Low level crafting often will cost you more money than you will earn selling the item, particularly if you have to buy materials. However, some of the higher level crafted items will sell well or are worthy of your own use. You will need to watch the Auction House to see what types of things sell well in your realm.
Buy low, sell high
If you like the stock market, then another way to make gold on WoW is to use some help to play the Auction House. The Auctioneer mod can help you keep an eye on the going rate of items in your realm. When you see an item way underpriced, buy it yourself, wait a day or two and then sell it for a profit. Like the stock market, this can be a risky game, and you do need some gold to get started.
